Beginning in 1995 BFT inc an asset based carrier in Central Iowa began looking at alternatives above and beyond their own fleet of trucks in order to help better serve their customers growing needs. BixTrans Logistics was born from this need and remains wholly owned by the Bixby family to this day.

Coming from asset carrier roots we know a thing or two about the trucking industry and the real world problems that face the transportation industry. We’ve taken that valuable experience and combined it with industry leading analytics & pricing tools to help better serve our customer base. With continued growth over the last 20 years we’ve expanded our services to include not only truckload transportation but LTL, expedited shipments and warehousing.
